Grid Reliability

Arizona’s abundant sunshine and wind make it a prime location for renewable energy. Yet, solar and wind energy must be used as it is generated.

Even in Arizona, the sun doesn’t always shine. We need technologies to stabilize the grid and help meet demand.

ENERGY HAS ALWAYS BEEN STORED

For generations, people around the world have been storing energy to meet demand. Even today, we store wood and propane for cooking, heat and power.

Energy Supply
Must Meet Demand

Traditional solar energy uses an array to convert sunlight to electricity, so it must be consumed when it is generated.

Renewable electricity can only be delivered to homes and businessses when the wind is blowing or the sun is shining.

Origis Energy’s proposed energy storage facility will allow us to use renewable energy when it is needed.

Energy from renewables can be stored by battery storage units. The stored electricity can be delivered to homes and businesses when renewables are unavailable.

When the renewable energy supply does not meet demand, clean energy storage can fill the gap
